I have to confess, I spent several hours last night trying to put together a coherent article on why I am terrified to share my faith publicly.
And then this.
This just gives me so much hope that even I can hold a conversation without trying to win an argument. Because in the end, it’s not about winning an argument or being a better debater.
Like many others, I suffer from the delusion that it’s my fault if I fail to reach someone so that they are “cut to the heart”. I love that Peter was a simple preacher whose message was was still compelling enough to reach ordinary people.
But I don’t have to be an apologist. Some people are gifted with that talent. I’m not. And that’s okay.

It has been my experience that witnessing is more just a conversation than a debate anyway. This example is pretty rare.

Hey Molly. I am glad you found that useful. I hope it makes you feel better about what you do. Just remember…we are witnesses. We aren’t lawyers; we are witnesses. A witness simply tells what they know, what they saw, and what happened to them. We are all called to share differently, and not everybody is expected to stand on a street corner preaching.
