Happy New Year, friends!
Even though the difficulties and circumstances did not magically disappear after Dec 31 at 11:59 pm, January is a time of refreshment and my favorite time to renew my excitement for the blessings God has in store for us in the coming year (Isaiah 40:31).
My vision for Tea & Testimony in 2023 is to join in the work of helping others discover the pure joy of being in the Word of God every day. So all January long, we will be going through the book of Proverbs and I’ll be sharing some of my favorite passages.
Designed for a 5-day week, these plans are kind and forgiving to the busy person who is prone to falling behind on reading because you have two extra weekend days to make it up.
And even if you stay permanently behind, who cares? Reading the Bible is not a race to perfection; it is an intimate step into God’s heart for his people. Take it at your own pace and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).
When we commit to taking in scripture daily, we are proving our desire to know Him better and what goal could be better than that? I hope you will join in as we discover the wisdom of Proverbs together this month. Happy reading!

Today I listen to Proverbs while working on other things in the house. It was great to get a larger fuller look at the book by listening to many chapters at once.
